Queen of silk

Mulberry silk is rightfully the queen of silk. The silkworms are only fed on mulberry leaves, this results in the finest, softest silk available. It contains 18 amino acids and proteins luckily our skin thrives off of these, which means it is not just the soft feeling that is marvelous, but also helps your skin to stay healthy.

When you put your face on a silk pillowcase it feels like you're floating among the clouds, or laying in a grass field with the sun shining.

Silk is thermo-regulated, the moisture-repelling properties and natural, breathable fiber will help you with sleeping in the best temperature for yourself any time of the year. It stays soft, cool and dry.

Plant dyes

You might be wondering, why should i chose plant- dyed silk pillowcases? One of the most important reason is to stay away from chemicals. It’s better for your skin, for your body, for the enviroment. Everybody wins! Also remember the part about laying on a grass field when the sun is shining? Add some plants and flowers to that.

As we started to create our collection we had to research different plants, what color they make, is that a permanent color, how do they react to pH change, how fast they fade on the sun.

We finally made our recipes and chose the colors. However sometimes the same plants produce slightly different colors. This depends on many factors such as soil, weather conditions, etc. Usually it is not a big difference and natural dyed colors are always super pretty. Don't worry!

Due to their natural origin, plant-dyed items are inherently impermanent. The colors can fade a bit by ageing, but that does not mean they are ruined. It means that they are alive just like us.

Skin, hair, sleep

Plant dye and mulberry silk have a lot of benefits regarding your skin, hair and your sleep.

The plants we chose to dye with are used in skin care as well. They have different properties for every skin type. You can read about those in our products menu and choose for your own needs. They also have calming and relaxing scents that can aid in a good night’s sleep.

Silk is exceptionally smooth, which means that even if you toss and turn during sleep, your hair won’t get frizzy, won’t dry out, and will stay in place.

Regular pillow cases are tipically made from fabrics which absorb moisture. Not only your face cream, but all the other oils which are in your body naturally and we do not wanna lose those. Silk however does not absorb moisture, so it also does not create a homy environment for the bacterias. Goodbye acne and irritation!
